Yes, we need perhaps to have freedom to choose a religion and not necessarily the one we were born into ! After all its all about psychologically and emotionally conditioning a child to believe and accept certain propositions about reality to which there is often no evidence for ! People too often believe in things for no good reason which shapes their worldview good or bad ! Perhaps people could be deprogrammed from their religious presuppositional beliefs and pursue being someone who is free from religion and its bronze age fables and beliefs !

Too bad, the western media like adrian zenz seized that opportunity to elucidate the idea of falling human population rate in xinjiang. It explains nothing. People could be leaving xinjiang, died of aging population and other factors could explain the dip but it certainly isn't anything near genocide since the number dip is nowhere near the 3 million claim he made

Lot of these countries China has invested heavily in. And I suspect some of these representatives are acting with guidance from China. The Burkina Faso representative Sougari requested a debate on racism in USA at UNHRC session last year...citing the police violence against blacks is 'uncontrolled' and 'legion'. This sounds more political than real concern coming from a country whose own security forces are accused of killing over 180 people in a single town over a 5 month period in 2019.
Look closely at the list of countries that have signed this letter. None of these countries have proper human rights or are at least questionable.

Speak like you have been to Xinjiang and did your investigations. Those photos were mostly from the footage films of prisons, and all the sudden they give you a view that “oh, that’s the violation of human rights.” How about you go to the prison of the US and take some photos, and another report can describe the similar stories “US government intentionally hold massive amount of people in many minority groups, such as African Americans and Hispanic Latino.” Also go to the warehouses of Amazon, oh, minorities are forced to work with no medical insurance and a few PPE day and night and only get minimum wages were given. Twisting the fact can be easily done with a few misleading photos and “facts” that you have no proof for.
